Dentures and Partials:
With remarkable advancements in cosmetic dentistry technology has made it possible to create a denture that looks natural, fits beautifully, and provides a higher level of facial support in order to fill out lost facial volume. Cosmetic dentures fit comfortably and give you the confidence you desire in speaking, eating, and smiling.
Do Dentures look like real teeth?
Yes, we put a lot of detail into creating a denture that is made to look like it fits your smile flawlessly. We use state of the art materials and processes in order to give you the best results possible. Your teeth will have the texture, shaping. and contouring to mimic the appearance of a natural smile.
What Options are Available for Partials?
For patients who are missing teeth, but still have a majority of their natural teeth present in the mouth that are in healthy condition, we may recommend a partial denture. A partial denture functions the same as a full denture, except that it attaches to your natural teeth with a clasp. Partials aid in the function of biting and chewing and are great for aesthetic purposes when missing teeth.
What Options are Available For Dentures?
There are multiple denture options to fit a wide range of individual necessity.
For patients who have already had teeth extracted in the past we offer a “Complete Denture”, which is created by taking impressions and then a realistic denture model is made in order for you to try them in and make any adjustments, or changes. We do as many try-ins with the realistic model before we make the final denture to ensure you fall in love with your smile.
For patients who still have teeth, but are transitioning into a denture we offer a “Immediate Denture”, which is creating by taking impressions of your teeth. Since the teeth are present this allows us to create a replicated denture to match your smile. If you are missing any teeth we may still create a denture model to establish your natural bite in order to make sure every tooth is formed to fit comfortably and look beautiful. Upon completion of your dentures we will set you up with an appointment for extractions of any remaining teeth and your dentures will be seated immediately after extractions so that you will not be without your gorgeous smile. After extractions and placement we will schedule any necessary appointments to make any adjustments as your gums heal after extractions. These adjustments don’t change the gorgeous smile that we’ve created, but instead are done along the gumline to ensure they fit comfortably inside your mouth as your gums heal.
For patients who desire a denture with extra support we recommend “Implant Dentures”, because the denture sits and attaches to the implants. With an implant denture you essentially eliminate the possibility of any mobility of the denture. If you already do not have any teeth, the first step of an Implant Denture is to have implants placed. The time frame can vary depending on the healing process of each individual patient. After 2-6 months after implants are placed and have healed a healing cap will be placed on each implant in order to guide the healing. The healing caps are worn for about 2 weeks and at that point are replaced with a abutment. After this, you will be released from the oral surgeon. Then the process starts to create your implant denture.
